Within the scope of the Painting Studio I course conducted by Prof. Dr. Osman Altıntaş, an online exhibition was organized under the coordination of Research Assistant Hatice Aybilge Çopuroğlu in honor of 24 November Teachers’ Day. In the exhibition, pastel portraits of Turkish art educators and educational scientists were carefully created by the students in their own artistic styles and presented to art enthusiasts.
The aim of the event was to commemorate the esteemed educators who have shaped the development of art education in Türkiye, highlight their innovative approaches to learning environments, and emphasize the transformative power of teaching within the field of art.
The portraits featured in the exhibition not only reflected the respect felt for art educators but also made visible the influence of these significant figures—who laid the foundations of art education—on today’s artistic practices. The contributions of art educators to the country’s cultural and aesthetic heritage through the generations they have trained served as an inspiration for young artist candidates.
The online exhibition not only allowed students to improve their technical skills but also aimed to honor the teachers who have devoted their efforts to art education.
