Refectory Reservation
The Department of Painting was established in 2017 within the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Fine Arts and began its education and training activities in the 2020-2021 academic year with a quota of 30 students. The Department's curriculum consists of theoretical and practical courses. It includes classrooms, workshops, and an exhibition hall to fulfill the program's objectives. The department's goal is to cultivate aspiring artists who possess the knowledge and skills to integrate diverse disciplines, embody ideas that contribute to humanity in a contemporary and universal sense, are open to scientific thought, adhere to ethical principles, possess a unique identity, are inquisitive, innovative, explore all cultures, and are creative, and are capable of representing themselves and their country in national and international artistic events. In line with these objectives, the Department of Painting aims to take an active part among the institutions that provide fine arts education in Turkey, to enable students to comprehend theoretical and practical problems and produce works in line with original understanding, to provide education that will provide the necessary culture to understand the nature of art and the logic of visual thought, and to contribute to the aesthetic and cultural values of the city in which it is located.
