Our Stakeholder

A stakeholder is defined as a party that influences the achievement of a program’s objectives or is affected by the decisions and actions of the program. Individuals, units, or administrators within the institution are referred to as internal stakeholders, while individuals, groups, and organizations outside the institution are referred to as external stakeholders.

Stakeholder management broadly encompasses the identification of stakeholders and their expectations, the assessment of their influence on the program, and the development of relationships with them. Stakeholders play a significant role in the establishment of the program and in the development of educational objectives. Four main stakeholders—faculty members, alumni, industry representatives, and students—come together to review program objectives and outcomes and to provide recommendations for changes.

 

Objectives of Stakeholder Analysis

  • Stakeholder analysis directs the institution’s attention toward the individuals, groups, and organizations that benefit from its services, thereby improving the quality of the services provided.

  • It enables the identification of stakeholders along with their level of importance and influence.

  • It enhances interaction with stakeholders.

  • It increases the likelihood of achieving institutional goals by ensuring that stakeholders are aware of and take ownership of these goals.

  • It promotes inter-institutional interaction and collaboration.

  • It allows for the assessment of how institutional activities impact stakeholders.
