OUR MISSION
The Department of Painting is committed to producing and applying knowledge by drawing upon different disciplines required by the field of art. It embraces a contemporary, dynamic, and ethically conscious approach, working to benefit society. The department aims to cultivate individuals who will contribute to Turkish art through participation in national and international biennials, festivals, and similar events, while practicing their profession in harmony with historical and cultural values, and remaining faithful to Atatürk’s principles and reforms.
Furthermore, with an internationally accredited curriculum, the department pursues an interdisciplinary and comprehensive educational vision that fosters diverse employment opportunities and supports creative production.

Our department envisions becoming a community that is faithful to Atatürk’s principles and reforms, professionally competent in both theoretical and practical fields, grounded in ethical values, and dedicated to its own historical and cultural identity. It seeks to explore different cultures, follow contemporary art education systems, and contribute to national and international artistic events with innovative and original works.
