COMMON ENGLISH COURSES (CEN) |

CEN Courses |
Common English (CEN) courses are compulsory English language courses for students enrolled in undergraduate programs taught in Turkish. These courses are offered in accordance with Article 5(ı) of the Higher Education Law No. 2547. |

Objectives |

Coordination |
The content of CEN courses, the types and contents of exams, their administration, and evaluation processes are determined by the School Board. The course syllabi and materials prepared by the School are implemented uniformly across all faculties, schools, and vocational schools. |

Attendance |
Students are required to attend at least 70% of CEN classes. Those who fail to meet this attendance requirement receive a DS grade. The DS grade is treated as an FF grade in the calculation of the Grade Point Average (GPA). |

Examinations |
To monitor and assess students’ language skills, a midterm exam, a final exam, and a resit exam are administered in line with the Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Undergraduate and Associate Degree Education Regulations. |

Success Criteria |
Student success in CEN courses is determined according to the provisions of the Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Undergraduate and Associate Degree Education Regulations. |
