· Common Foreign Language (English) Courses (CEN) are compulsory foreign language courses taken by first-year students enrolling in departments that offer education in Turkish, per Article 5 (ı) of Law No. 2547. These courses are offered as 2+0, 2 ECTS for two semesters, totaling 4+0, 4 ECTS.

· CEN education is conducted on a semester basis; it begins in the first semester of the first year and is delivered in two consecutive semesters.

· The contents of the CEN, as well as the types and contents of the exams, their implementation, and evaluation, are determined by the SFL Board.

· The CEN contents and syllabi prepared by SFL  are implemented in the same way across all faculties/schools/vocational schools.

· Students are required to attend at least 70% of the CEN classes. Students who fail to meet the attendance requirement are given a DS (Discontinued) grade. The DS grade is treated as an FF grade in the GPA calculation.

· The success status in CEN is determined according to the provisions of the Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Önlisans ve Lisans Eğitim-Öğretim Yönetmeliği.

· Midterms, final exams, and resit exams for tracking and measuring students' language skills in CEN are conducted within the framework of the Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Önlisans ve Lisans Eğitim-Öğretim Yönetmeliği.

· CEN exams are prepared by SFL and are held on the same day and time across all faculties/schools/vocational schools.

· The announcement of CEN exam results and appeals against the exam results are carried out according to the provisions of the Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Önlisans ve Lisans Eğitim-Öğretim Yönetmeliği.
