The School of Foreign Languages (SFL), established to provide foreign language education within Osmaniye Korkut Ata University, officially commenced its activities with the decision published in the Official Gazette dated 10 January 2012 (No. 28169). The School adopts a contemporary educational approach shaped by an international perspective and aims to enhance the foreign language proficiency of university students.

In the 2013–2014 academic year, following its establishment, the Voluntary English Preparatory Program (VEPP) was introduced for students enrolled in various departments of the university. In the subsequent years, the Compulsory English Preparatory Program (CEPP) was implemented for departments in which the medium of instruction is partially or fully English.

The preparatory programs offered within the School of Foreign Languages aim to equip students with the ability to use English effectively in both academic and social contexts.

In addition, the School is responsible for planning and implementing the Compulsory Foreign Language courses (English I and II), which are mandatory for all students enrolled in departments where the medium of instruction is Turkish.
