The School of Foreign Languages (YADYO) at Osmaniye Korkut Ata University was officially established on January 10, 2012, following its publication in the Official Gazette (No. 28169). The school was founded to meet students’ foreign language needs and embraces a modern educational philosophy with an international perspective.
In the 2013–2014 academic year, the school introduced the Voluntary English Preparatory Programme (VEPP) for students enrolled in various departments. In the following years, the Compulsory English Preparatory Programme (CEPP) was implemented for departments whose medium of instruction is fully or partially English.
These preparatory programmes aim to equip students with the English language skills necessary for academic success and effective communication in everyday life.
In addition, the school is responsible for the planning and implementation of Compulsory English Courses (CEN)—English I and II—for all departments where Turkish is the language of instruction.
