The First Advisory Board Meeting of the School of Foreign Languages Was Held
The first Advisory Board Meeting of the Osmaniye Korkut Ata University School of Foreign Languages was held with the participation of academic and administrative staff, and student representative as well as representatives from the public and private sectors.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ceyhun Yükselir, Director of the School of Foreign Languages. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Yükselir stated that the Advisory Board was established to support the School’s activities in the fields of education, research, community engagement, and stakeholder relations, in terms of governance, monitoring, and external stakeholder feedback.
During the meeting, the fundamental duties and responsibilities of the Advisory Board were emphasized. It was underlined that the Board will play an important role in enhancing the School’s collaboration potential with external stakeholders, ensuring the alignment of academic programs with professional and current practices, providing recommendations in line with strategic goals, and contributing to institutional development.
Participants shared their evaluations regarding the current situation of the School and expressed their suggestions for future collaborations. It was also stated that the activities of the Board would be carried out in accordance with the principles of transparency, participation, and institutional ethics.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views and the planning of future activities.
