I was born in 1977. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education in İskenderun (İskenderun Iron and Steel Primary, Secondary, and High School). In 1999, I graduated from Çukurova University Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Sciences, Guidance and Psychological Counseling program. I conducted my master's and doctoral studies at the Institute of Social Sciences at Çukurova University in the Department of Educational Sciences, Guidance and Psychological Counseling (1999-2010). I completed my training in Family and Couples Therapy at the Weinheim Institute for Family Therapy in Germany (2008-2012) and completed my training in Family and Couples Therapy Supervision (2016-2019).

Between 1999 and 2001, I worked as a School Guidance Teacher (School Psychological Counselor) at Adana Seyhan Cumhuriyet Primary School. From 2001 to 2010, I worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Educational Sciences at Çukurova University Institute of Social Sciences. Between 2010 and 2011, I completed my military service as a Guidance and Psychological Counseling Specialist in the Cyprus Turkish Forces Brigade. In 2012, I began working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Sciences at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University. Here, I was involved in the establishment of the Department of Educational Sciences, the Guidance and Psychological Counseling, and the Pedagogical Formation Certificate Programs. I served as the Head of the Department of Educational Sciences from 2013 to 2018 and again in 2019-2020, as well as the academic coordinator of the Pedagogical Formation Certificate Program, and I was the Head of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling from 2013 to 2015. In 2018, I was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Guidance and Psychological Counseling. I completed training in Systemic Psychotherapy at the Weinheim Institute for Systemic Education and Development in Germany from 2007 to 2011, Couples Therapy in 2012, and Systemic Supervision from 2016 to 2019. Additionally, I completed the “Quality Management Expert Certificate Program,” which consisted of 11 courses totaling 108 hours, organized by Istanbul Technical University from March 26 to May 29, 2022.

I am one of the founders of the Systemic Psychotherapy Institute in Turkey. I am also a member of the Turkish Psychological Counseling and Guidance Association, the International Family Therapy Association (IFTA), and the Turkish Psychological Association. I am married and a father of one child.
