As a result of the initiatives carried out between our university and the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NDK), our university has been accepted as a member of the European Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA).
As a result of the initiatives carried out by OKU Graduate School Director Prof. Dr. Eyyup Tel with the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NDK), our university became a member of the European Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), which operates under the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and is headquartered in France.
Within the scope of the agreement, faculty members, graduate and doctoral students of our university working in the field of engineering and natural sciences will have the opportunity to provide the computer package programs and software they want from NEA's database.
Evaluating the acceptance of our university to the official membership of NEA, which is a place where very few universities in Turkey take part, our Rector Prof. Dr. Turgay Uzun said, "It is a proud development for our university in the scientific and academic field. In this process, I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Eyyup Tel and all our employees who contributed to the membership initiatives, and wish them continued success."
NEA, an intergovernmental organization within the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) that facilitates cooperation between countries with advanced nuclear technology infrastructures in the fields of nuclear safety, technology, science, environment and law, shares the data and computer software necessary for the development of nuclear energy and technologies with member organizations.
Our university has become an official member of the European Nuclear Energy Agency.
