“Health Managers’ Day” Program Organized by the Health Management Club
Within our university, the Health Management Society organized a conference titled “Career Journey in Healthcare” as part of the Health Managers’ Day program.
The Health Management Society of the Faculty of Health Sciences held a special conference to celebrate Health Managers’ Day. Convened in the University Library Conference Hall, the event brought together professionals who hold leadership roles in the healthcare sector. MedData Training Manager Serkan Baştuğ and Dr. Abdullah Alper Ertem, Assistant Professor at Gazi University, met with faculty students and experienced sector experts to share insights drawn from their professional careers.
Opening with a moment of silence and the recitation of the National Anthem, the conference began with remarks by Prof. Alpaslan Dayangaç, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Emphasizing the vital role of health managers, Prof. Dayangaç noted that the event aimed to honor this distinguished professional group. He underlined that health managers play a key role in the effective planning, implementation, and oversight of health services, and stated that the aim was to offer students an opportunity to lay a solid foundation for their careers.
Organized to help the next generation embark on a successful career in health management, the event also featured contributions from Asst. Prof. Serap Taşkaya, Chair of the Health Management Department, and Semiha Kara, Deputy Director of Administrative and Financial Services at Osmaniye State Hospital, who delivered talks on leadership, ethics, and strategic management in the field of health administration.
To support and facilitate students’ career development, participation certificates were presented by the Health Management Society to MedData Training Manager Serkan Baştuğ and Dr. Abdullah Alper Ertem of Gazi University in appreciation of their contributions to the program.
