DOCUMENTED EXEMPTION

Students who are required to attend the Compulsory English Preparatory Program may be granted an exemption without taking the English Proficiency Exam if they meet one of the criteria listed below and submit the necessary documentation. Applications must be made to the Directorate of the School of Foreign Languages on the specified date and via the application method announced by the School.

  1. Students who have scored at least 70 on the YDS/e-YDS/YÖKDİL exams administered by ÖSYM in the past two years, or those who have obtained a score equivalent to at least 70 in any other national or international language exam listed in the current ÖSYM Foreign Language Exam Equivalency Table.

  2. Students who, within the last three years, have successfully completed a preparatory program at another higher education institution and can submit a document clearly showing their score from the proficiency exam or their final grade from the prep class, and whose exemption is approved by the Administrative Board.
  3. Students who can provide documentation showing that they have completed their secondary education in schools attended by citizens of a country where the relevant foreign language is spoken as a native or official language, and where the medium of instruction is that foreign language, for at least the final three years of their education.
