DOCUMENT-BASED EXEMPTION
Students who are subject to the Compulsory Preparatory Program and who can document that they meet the criteria listed below may be exempted from the preparatory program without taking the English Proficiency Exam, provided that they apply to the Directorate of the School of Foreign Languages within the announced dates and application procedures.
1.
Students who have received at least 80 points in YDS/e-YDS exams conducted by ÖSYM within the last 2 years, or who have an equivalent score of at least 80 in any national or international foreign language exam according to the current ÖSYM equivalency table.


2.
Students who have successfully completed a preparatory class at another higher education institution within the last 3 years and who apply for exemption with a document clearly indicating their proficiency exam score or preparatory class success grade, and whose exemption is approved by the Administrative Board.
3.
Students who can document that they completed their secondary education in institutions where the language of instruction is the target foreign language, in a country where that language is spoken as a native or official language, for at least the last 3 years.
