Institutional Duties, Powers and ResponsibilitiesI
- n accordance with the relevant legislation, planning, coordinating and supervising the execution of the issues that fall within the field of duty of the Department in a healthy, orderly and efficient manner,
- Working on University’s workforce and career planning and personnel policy,
- Ensuring the execution of the personnel appointment and retirement procedures of university staff,
- Organizing and implementing pre-service and in-service training programs of administrative staff,
- Following the legislation concerning the activities of the Department,
- Ensuring the coordination among the units of the Department, as well as ensuring that they work in cooperation and harmony and solving the problems that arise,
- Producing projects for the affiliated units to work efficiently,
- Making proposals to the General Secretariat Authority regarding the legal and administrative measures to be taken by conducting inspections and researches on matters falling within the field of duty, inadequate legislation or deficiencies in practices,
- Ensuring the preparation of annual activity reports of the works of the branch directorates affiliated within the Department,
- Supervising the staff of the Department and giving directives on their works,
- Determining the in-service training needs of the Department staff and organizing in-service training programs,
- Following the personnel rights of the Department staff.
- Making proposals to the General Secretariat Authority for personnel procedures such as reward, appreciation, and displacement,
- Approving annual leaves granted by the Branch Managers,
- Informing his superiors about the activities of the Department,
- Using other powers of similar nature to be given by supervisors and fulfilling the duties,
- The Head of Personnel Department is responsible to the General Secretary and the Rector for the matters that fall within their duties.
